About QD Pride Farm

A welcoming equestrian farm in the Hudson Valley where riders of all ages can learn, grow, and connect.

Nestled in a valley between the Shawangunk and Catskill mountains in Accord, New York, QD Pride Farm is a family-owned horse farm for all equestrian levels. Whether you’re an aspiring rider seeking high quality lessons, an experienced equestrian in need of boarding and/or training facilities, or simply a rider who wants to “trailer in” their horse for an occasional ride, QD Pride Farm can provide the services you seek. And we operate year-round, as we have both outdoor and indoor facilities. The environment is warm, nurturing and wonderfully peaceful.

About the Owner

QD Pride Farm is owned and operated by Naomi Lopato, whose lifelong experience with horses shapes everything about the farm.

Naomi has been riding since she was 8 years old, beginning in Hunters and Dressage before expanding into a wide range of disciplines. She attended Morrisville State College in the Thoroughbred program, where she earned her exercise license galloping racehorses and developed hands-on experience working with young horses.

After Morrisville, she worked at a racetrack alongside experienced trainers, gaining insight into the inner workings of the racing industry. She later transitioned to a breeding farm in Saratoga, where she helped manage mares and foals, assisted with foaling, and prepared weanlings and yearlings for sale.

Drawn back to the Hudson Valley, Naomi continued her work at two dude ranches, taking on roles as both a wrangler and manager. There, she worked closely with both horses and riders, building the foundation for the environment she would later create at QD Pride Farm.

She then spent three years at Rhinebeck Equine Hospital as an ambulatory assistant, traveling from barn to barn and assisting with general care and emergency procedures. This experience deepened her understanding of horse health and care, which remains a core part of how the farm operates today.
