Our riding lessons are designed for riders of all ages and experience levels, from first-time beginners to more advanced equestrians. Located in Accord, NY near Kingston and New Paltz, QD Pride Farm offers a safe, supportive environment where riders of all ages can build confidence and form a strong connection with their horse.

Lesson Types

Half-Hour Lessons

Available to all, our half-hour private riding lessons are perfect for younger or beginner riders. They are designed to build confidence, safety, and a strong foundation from the very first ride. Each session begins with hands-on grooming and tacking, helping children build confidence and form a connection with their horse. This is followed by guided riding time, where students are gently introduced to the fundamentals of horsemanship in a safe, supportive environment.

  • $60 per lesson.

One-Hour Lessons

Our one-hour private riding lessons offer a comprehensive, personalized training experience. Each session focuses on technique, balance, and progression, with instruction tailored to the rider’s skill level and goals. Ideal for those looking to advance their riding in a structured, supportive environment. As with half-hour lessons, each session begins with hands-on grooming and tacking, giving riders the opportunity to build confidence, connect with their horse, and learn essential care skills. This is followed by personalized riding instruction tailored to each rider’s level and goals, helping students develop proper technique, balance, and control.

Group Riding Lessons

Our group riding lessons are designed for riders who can confidently control their horse and are ready to progress beyond private instruction. Riders are thoughtfully paired by skill level and experience, creating a safe, supportive environment that encourages shared learning and confidence in the saddle. With two to three riders per session, students benefit from both personalized guidance and a sense of camaraderie, transitioning into group lessons once they have built a strong foundation through private training.

  • Group Lessons: $80/person
  • Duo group lesson: $160
  • Three person group lesson: $240

All students begin by meeting their instructor in our viewing area, creating a smooth and welcoming start to each session. Riders are required to wear appropriate attire, including soft, flexible pants or jeans, boots with a heel, weather-appropriate clothing, and a certified helmet to ensure safety and comfort during horseback riding lessons.

 

Our facility features a spacious indoor riding arena with premium footing, along with access to two outdoor rings, providing a consistent and professional environment for riders of all levels. These conditions allow us to deliver safe, structured riding lessons year-round, with cancellations only occurring in cases of extreme weather.
