Lesson Types
HALF-HOUR BEGINNER LESSONS
Our program is thoughtfully designed for young riders ages 4 to 6, offering 30-minute private beginner horseback riding lessons led by experienced, caring instructors. Each session begins with hands-on grooming and tacking, helping children build confidence and form a connection with their horse. This is followed by guided riding time, where students are gently introduced to the fundamentals of horsemanship in a safe, supportive environment.

PRIVATE RIDING LESSONS
Our private horseback riding lessons for ages 7 and up offer a comprehensive one-hour experience guided by skilled instructors. Each session begins with hands-on grooming and tacking, giving riders the opportunity to build confidence, connect with their horse, and learn essential care skills. This is followed by personalized riding instruction tailored to each rider’s level and goals, helping students develop proper technique, balance, and control in a supportive environment.

GROUP RIDING LESSON
Our group horseback riding lessons are designed for riders who can confidently control their horse and are ready to progress beyond private instruction. Riders are thoughtfully paired by skill level and experience, creating a safe, supportive environment that encourages shared learning and confidence in the saddle. With two to three riders per session, students benefit from both personalized guidance and a sense of camaraderie, transitioning into group lessons once they have built a strong foundation through private training.

Riding Lessons
QD Pride Farm offers premier horseback riding lessons in the Hudson Valley, serving riders ages 4 and up across all experience levels, from beginner to advanced. Our private and group lessons are designed to build confidence, safety, and strong foundational riding skills through structured, hands-on instruction in a supportive, professional environment.
Lessons are available June through August, Monday through Sunday from 9am to 6pm, with flexible scheduling to accommodate your needs.
Weekly Riding Program
Riders may enroll in our structured weekly riding program, designed to deliver consistent progress and skill development. Monthly tuition is paid in advance prior to the first of each month. Limited one-time horseback riding lessons may also be available based on scheduling.

Riders are required to wear appropriate attire, including soft, flexible pants or jeans, boots with a heel, weather-appropriate clothing, and a certified helmet to ensure safety and comfort during horseback riding lessons.
Our facility features a spacious indoor riding arena with premium footing, along with access to two outdoor rings, providing a consistent and professional environment for riders of all levels. These conditions allow us to deliver safe, structured horseback riding lessons year-round, with cancellations only occurring in cases of extreme weather.
